Open living
By Chris Weylandt
Social, casual, connected
Open-plan living keeps your home fluid, engaging and connected. Innovative solutions allow for one space to be enjoyed for many purposes. A living area can have an intimate reading corner or a dining room table could be used as a work space.

Simplify you space
Simple spaces are timeless and restful. They’re rooms you want to return to time and time again. Moving from complexity to simplicity is actually refreshingly simple. To start with, be ruthless with your clutter. Anything that is not vital to the space should be hidden from view. Collect some simple furniture basics, and then add just one or two accent items that lend your home its own distinctive temperament and character. The Aqua Vessel is a piece that has the vibrancy that classifies it as a room accent.
Inspiration from across the globe
Traveling the globe and meeting people from all countries and cultures, I'm always always struck by how simplicity seems to have universal appeal. Open living areas can give a house an international and timeless appeal.

Atmosphere created
Using furniture and lighting to distinguish different areas can enhance the atmosphere as well as serve a practical purpose. A sitting area can gravitate around a single carpet; while a reading corner can simply be defined by a chair and a lamp. Vivid lighting identifies a work area, while subtle lighting encourages relaxation.
