Solid Oak, Oak Veneers

• *DAILY CARE*

- Wipe with a cotton cloth. - Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents. - Avoid direct sunlight.

• *SPOTS & SPILLS*

- In case of spills, wipe immediately with a clean absorbent sponge or cloth.

Care Instructions

Birch

• *DAILY CARE*

- Sponge surface with mild solution of water and soap (washing liquid). - Frequent washing with soap solution will increase the surface resistance because the wood absorbs the soap thus making the product more repellent to marks & stains.

• *SPOTS & SPILLS*

-Oil, grease and fat stains can be removed with stain absorbing powder (Available in drug stores or DIY stores). - Any residue to be removed with fine sand paper, but always sand in the direction of the grain. - Steel wool should never be used, it leaves a residue that oxidizes and stains the wood.

• *PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT*

- Treat with bi-component polyurethane: This method offers the most effective protection against staining and is the most appropriate for furniture exposed to hard wear. - The coating can hardly be seen.

• *HARD WAX OIL TREATMENT*

- Darkens wood but protects the oiled surface. A special soap for oil surfaces to be used. This oiled treatment also avoids the need for systematic pretreatment of the entire surface.

• *WAXED NATURAL*

- Maintain finish polish the surface with a furniture polish at least once a month. - Fine scratches can be removed by vigorous polishing. - Apply Woodock Antique Wax with a clean cloth, wait for it to dry and then polish.

Care Instructions

Leather

• *DAILY CARE*

- Frequent light dusting recommended as dust and soil can be abrasive and potentially damage the finishing of your leather. - Occasional wiping with a warm and slightly damp clean cloth will prevent oils and dust from building up.

• *SPOTS & SPILLS*

- Blot excess liquid immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth or sponge. - Do not rub. If necessary use clear, lukewarm water and gently wipe the spill. - Dry with a clean towel and allow to air dry.

• *STUBBORN SPOTS & STAINS*

- Use a mild solution of non-detergent soap (use a soap you would use on your face) and clear, lukewarm water in a 1:10 solution. - Apply with a clean, damp sponge, then rinse the area of the spot or stain well and let it air dry naturally. - Always try the cleaning method on a concealed area first to be certain of colour fastness.

• *BUTTER, OIL & GREASE*

- Gently wipe the spot off the leather with a clean, dry cloth and then leave it alone as the spot should dissipate into the leather in a short period of time. Do not apply water or other liquids.

• *LEATHER CARPETS*

- Do not pull the strips of leather and avoid using a vacuum cleaner. - Do not soak the rug in any liquid. - Keep away form sharp objects, hot surfaces and open fire place. - Use a soft cloth to clean the rug as and when required. - If your rug becomes soiled, professional cleaning is recommended.

• *NEVER USE*

- Saddle soap, cleanser (whether abrasive or not), soap, furniture polish or oils, varnish, detergent or other cleaning products, mentholated spirits or ammonia water. - Do not use any products containing silicon or solvents of any kind (this includes acetone or nail polish remover). - Use of these materials may lead to damage or destruction of the finish and/or colour of your leather and will void any warranty you might otherwise have.

Special care to be taken with Elite & Enviro Leathers. Some cleaning methods are not recommended as above, please consult your store representative.

- Professional Cleaning Recommended.
